High altitude Maipo, with Bordeaux blend and vinification. The nose is a little fuzzy (docking a half star) but it's of course quality: steak, leather, lavas and graphite. Typical Bordeaux smells. Blackberry and ripe plum. Some green pepper (not annoyingly unripe) is masked by deep dark syrupy black fruit on the tongue. Gorgeous acidity and tannin, xmas pudding, plum, wood ash and cigars. High concentration and length. Age has made this shine.
