Vintage Port is a specific style of Ruby Port which is made only in exceptional years and from the ripest grapes. The fermented wine is fortified before being aged for 2 years in massive oak vats which preserve the ripe fruit character. Upon bottling, the wines continue to age and can reward patient maturation for many decades. This bottle is a single-estate Vintage Port from Graham's vineyards at Quinta Dos Malvedos. 1984 vintage; bottled 1986.
