STONESTREET BEARPOINT CHARD 10

The 2010 Chardonnay Bear Point comes across as implosive and tightly wound. The Bear Point is made from the same Chardonnay clone as the Gravel Bench, but here the terrain yields a decidedly austere, taut style of Chardonnay. If the Bear Point opens up it will merit a higher score. Still, it is impossible not to admire the wine’s energy and big, broad-shouldered frame. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2020.
