Weingut Edelberg is at the helm of two young brothers, Peter and Michael Ebert, and we think they do a phenomenal job. Their policy is “as much as necessary, as little as possible,” at this minimalist Estate. They follow these direction from their hand-off style in the vineyard all the way through to the winery. This is DRY Riesling at it’s awesomest, great value and highly versatile. I’m having trouble NOT drinking it constantly. The mineral, fruit and acid is in harmony with notes of peach, pear & apricot fruits. The flinty petrol notes are Reserved, but present and there is a hint of rose petal that gives it more depth.
